BMI function
The Body Mass Index is used to determine nutritional condition
and relates body size and weight. A tolerance range is indicated,
which is considered optimal for health (between 18.5 and 24.9).
Additional medical advice should be sought for any variations.
BMIF
Breast Milk Intake Function
The Breast Milk Intake Function can be used to determine the
milk volume ingested by a baby when breast feeding. With the
press of a button, body weight of the baby before food intake
is saved and subtracted from the actual weight after reweighing
(difference function).
Damping
function
The damping function makes it possible to easily determine
weight even when interference occurs when weighing e.g. patient
movement. The degree of damping can be adjusted before weighing
to the respective need: The stronger the damping, the less
sensitive the scale reacts to movement irritations when weighing.
Limit
value function
For effective load control of patients. A weight limit value
can be set that is indicated with tone when exceeded.
HOLD
function
After saving the weight value with the HOLD button, the determined
weight value continues to be displayed after the load is removed.
This makes it possible to quickly care for a patient before
the value can be noted in peace.
Multirange
function
seca scales with multirange function allow the quick switchover
of the weighing range. You can choose between a fine graduation
or a high load range. In weighing range 1, a finer graduation
is available with reduced capacity. In weighing range 2, the
maximum capacity can be utilised.
Mother/child
function
This function was developed to also weigh children in the
arms of an adult in addition to the adult herself. If the
mother/child function is activated, the perviously saved weight
value of the adult is deducted from the currently determined
value. Only the weight of the child is then displayed on the
scale.
Pre-TARA
function
If this function is activated, a previously saved weight value
is deducted from the currently measured value automatically,
e.g. if caretaker and patient are standing on the scale at
the same time and only the weight of the patient should be
displayed.
Smartcard
Use of the Smartcard makes it quick and easy to determine
the net weight of patients in or with medical aids (e.g. wheelchair
or walker) without always having to weight the medical aid
again and again. It is enough to just insert the patient's
card into the Smartcard station. The value from the measured
weight value of the medical aid is automatically subtracted.
In other words, only the net weight of the patient is displayed.
TARA
function
Useful when any additional weight (e.g. nappies or blankets
with babies/infants or also chairs or wheelchairs) should
not influence the weighing result. This additional weight
is first weighed and then the displayed is tared to null.
The weight of the object is then not included in the measurement
that follows.
